On June 13th, join trail runners from around the state for a get together for some trail running, great food, cozy lodging, games and cheer. Homestake Lodge is an upscale hostel-style lodge offering 20 beds, bathrooms, showers, full kitchen, balcony, fire pit, huge fireplace, picturesque windows and trails in many directions. If you prefer more private lodging, they also offer 3 cabins for rent that offer the same amenities as the lodge but in a more private setting.
Homestake Lodge is located beneath the Continental Divide
just 15 minutes from Butte. It is a fabulous setting with 37km of trails
through gently rolling terrain of meadows, evergreens, aspens, and beaver
ponds. Incredible granite cliffs and rock croppings frame the trails. In the
vicinity is 100 km+ of very hilly single track trails.
Here is the tentative itinerary:One Night Stay
Saturday night June 13 Arrive early to mid-afternoon, go for a run, dinner then hang out by the fire pit. Optional game – 5 questions AKA the interview game.
Sunday morning- 2 options for a Long Run
Option 1: Blacktail Loop (mostly single track- very hilly scenic 14 mile run) w/optional hard workout.
Option 2: Maude S to Lady of the Rockies to Homestake (single track, very hilly, scenic 19 mile run) w/optional hard workout
After run: Lunch at Lodge then go to Fairmont Hot Springs for soak------leave for home
Price Options for Lodge for 20 people: (price includes all taxes) No profit made by me. I am just doing this to create a fun time for everyone.
*1 night in Lodge = $24/person-with hostel style arrangements– must bring own food
6 person cabin: $188/night (the cabins are great for friends or family members)
2 person cabin: $161/night
If desire the 2 catered meals add on $27/person to the above rates
Tentative Saturday Catered Dinner Menu - lasagna, homemade bread, salad, homemade cookies or brownies.
Tentative Sunday Catered Lunch Menu - Burgers on the Grill, salads, homemade cookies or brownies (if vegetarian-note on meal preference)

To secure the lodge we need a 20 person commitment by April 10. If there are less than 20 people I will have to cancel the event and you will receive your money back.
